RALEIGH - Ollie Thomas “O. T.” Evans, 76, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at his home. Funeral services were Friday, April 24, at Friendship Baptist Church, Raleigh, with the Rev. Robert Vradenburg and the Rev. Eddie Peterson officiating. Burial followed in Raleigh Memorial Park.

He was born in Franklin County to the late Robert Glenn Evans Sr. and Mary Forsythe Evans. He retired as a systems analyst with AT&T.

Surviving: wife, Shirley Wood Evans; sons, Tommy Evans and David Alan Evans, both of Raleigh; daughters, Laura Jean Evans of Raleigh and Christy Evans Hill (Tim) of Lynchburg, Va.; brother, Tony Evans (Sydney) of Portville, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
