WAKE FOREST - Hazel Flood Richardson, 85, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Wake Forest Care Center, Inc. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, April 1) at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service chapel, with Dr. Jo Ann Stancil of New Hope Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.

Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Berry and Lucy Bunn Flood. She retired from Dorothea Dix Hospital Food Service with 30 years of service.

Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Barber Richardson; brothers, Andrew, Donald and Rodney Flood; and a sister, Myrtle F. Ellington Catlette.

Surviving: daughter, Ann Coley (Albert) of Wake Forest; son, Edward Earl Richardson (Joyce) of Raleigh; sister, Lilly Lee Carlyle of Wendell; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
