WAKE FOREST - Luna Pearce Marshall, 95, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Hillside Nursing Center. In celebration of her life, a service was conducted Friday, May 1, at Rolesville Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Jim and Pearl Pearce. She was married to Grover C. Marshall, who preceded her in death, and was retired from the NC Department of Revenue after 25 years of service.

Surviving: daughter, Faye P. Mitchell (Curtiss) of Rolesville; son, Tommy Marshall (Sylvia) of Rolesville; sisters, Elsie P. Shearin and Mary P. Lee of Wake Forest; brother, Everette Pearce (Lillian) of Youngsville; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Vera P. Broughton, and her brothers, Bruce, Frank, James, Arthur, Ray, Bill and Ralph Pearce.
