FRANKLINTON - Alice Mae Harris, 62, died Sunday, July 16, 2006. Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 21, at Hawkins Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. Walter S. Taylor officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

She was born in Vance County, the daughter of the late Ulysses and Odell Young Harris. After the death of her father, she and her mother moved from Henderson to Granville County.

Surviving: a devoted cousin, Joe Green Jr. of Oxford; a special cousin, Lee Bert Green of Louisburg; and many other cousins.
