YOUNGSVILLE - Doris Linda Bullock Newton, 66, died Thursday, May 7, 2009. Funeral services were Monday, May 11, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest. Entombment followed in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Bessie Lyda Hamilton Bullock and Claybon Bullock.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Avery Newton.

Surviving: sons, William Markham (Cathy) of Youngsville, Michael Markham (Peggy) of Wake Forest, Stacy Markham of Youngsville; daughters, Ashle Schultz of Youngsville and Shelby Dupree (Michael) of Fuquay-Varina; sisters, Dorothy McGhee (Bobby) of Wake Forest, Pat Carroll ( Donnie) of Garner, Kathy Mitchell (R.A.) of Zebulon; brothers, Danny Bullock (Janie) of Youngsville, Donald Bullock (Annette) of Youngsville, Kenny Bullock (Phyllis) of Franklinton; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
