ZEBULON - Robert Alan Goetz, 55, died Monday, May 18, 2009. A memorial service was conducted Friday, May 22, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Youngsville.

He was born in Somerset, N.J., to the late William G. Goetz Sr. and Nova Averitt Goetz. He was a communication systems engineer with the Public Staff of the North Carolina Utilities Commission.

Surviving: his wife, Cecelia McMurray Swindell Goetz; stepchildren, Thomas Alexander Swindell and Marian Swindell Lewis; brother, William A. Goetz Jr.; sister, Laurie Goetz Aaron; and two grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local Boy Scouts of America.
