LOUISBURG – Charles Winston “C.W.” Strother, 75, of Louisburg, passed away Tuesday evening.

C.W. was the son of the late Alger Berkley and Gillie Sue Peoples Strother and a native of Franklin County. He was a member of Louisburg Baptist Church and an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired as the Franklin County Tax Assessor.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Louisburg Baptist Church with Dr. Reggie Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

C.W. is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley S. and Joe Taylor of Asheboro; nephew, Ashley Taylor; niece, Alison Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Louisburg Baptist Church, Wanda Walters Scholarship Fund or Neighbors Fund, P.O. Box 730, Louisburg, NC 27549.

The family received friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Friday at Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
