MIDDLESEX – Maxine Dement Ray, 83, died Monday at her home.  Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Wendell. Burial will follow in the Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex.

She was born in Franklin County, daughter of the late Louise Hunt and Ollie O. Dement and was the widow of Oliver Bennett Ray.  She was retired assistant Town Clerk  with the Town of Middlesex.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn D. Rogers and brothers, William and Durwood Hunt Dement.

Surviving: daughter, Wanda Paylor (Michael) of Garner; 2 grandsons;
