NASHVILLE - Funeral services for Mr. James F. Applewhite, 71, who died Monday, July 24, 2006, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ricky Daughtridge officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.

Surviving: one daughter, Linda Brinkley of Rocky Mount; sisters, Daisy Applewhite of Rocky Mount, Evelyn Wilson of Nashville, Annie Doris Applewhite of Raleigh, Margaret Applewhite of Washington, D.C.; brothers, William Applewhite of Spring Hope, Joseph Lee Applewhite of Nashville, and George Applewhite of Rocky Mount; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 28, from 3-8 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home, Nashville.
