LOUISBURG - Helen Cooley Smith, 87, died Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Franklin Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Lancaster Funeral Home chapel in Louisburg, conducted by the Rev. Mark Lynch.

Surviving: daughters, Elaine Widner of Charleston, S.C. and Christine Perry (David) of Windsor; sons, Edward Smith Jr. (Dale) of Oxford and William Smith (Dona) of Louisburg; sister, Sherry C. Lenz (George) of Boonsboro, Md.; brother, Charles Cooley of Louisburg.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight (Monday) at Lancaster Funeral Home.
