LOUISBURG – Larry Wayne Carter, 65, died Monday afternoon, July 27, 2009 at his home.

He was a son of the late Pearlie W. and Hannah H. Carter and was a native of Edgecombe County. He retired from Sprint, which is now Embarq.

Surviving: sons, Chris Carter of Louisburg and Kevin Carter of Texas; brother, Carl Carter (Patsy) of Rocky Mount; special friend, Belinda Mason of Louisburg; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 7 - 8:30 tonight (Wednesday, July 29) at Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
