LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Rufus “Putt” Yarborough, 59, who died Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, at Nelson Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Emma Solomon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Shonda Yarborough of Franklinton, Tomeka Yarborough-Hightower of Norlina and Shenquinta Towan Yarborough of Henderson; sisters, Janice Y. Cheatham of Louisburg and Edith Y. Friday of Silver Spring, Md.; half sisters, Helen Burt and Wilma Burt, both of Louisburg, and Lavern Branch of Raleigh; brothers, Bobby Yarborough of Washington, N.C., Alton Johnson and Lynell Johnson, both of Louisburg; and four grandchildren.

Open visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, Aug. 12) at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
