LOUISBURG - Efird “Bud” Williams, 70, died Thursday afternoon, Aug. 27, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Saturday Aug. 29) at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens in Wake Forest, with the Rev. Bill Spence officiating.

He was born in Wilson County, son of the late Rether Finn Williams and Marle Williams, and was preceded in death by a son, Marty Williams, and a brother, Kearney Williams. He was retired from Square D.

Surviving: wife, Dollie Williams; sisters, Carrie Sherrod of Rocky Mount., Jeanette Catlett and Gertrude Harris, both of Youngsville, Betty Ruth Sherrod of Nashville and Magdaline Blinson of Middlesex; a brother, Harry Williams of Clayton.
