RUDOLPH D’AVANZO


ZEBULON - Rudolph D’Avanzo, 83, formerly of Norwalk, Connecticut, passed peacefully at home on September 6.

His parents were the late Valentine and Prospero D’Avanzo of Norwalk, Connecticut. Rudy served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and was active with the Spring Hill Tigers and Pastimes.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Cynthia Fraser D‘Avanzo; son, Paul D‘Avanzo (Melvi) of Stamford, Connecticut; his stepchildren, Kathy Monteiro of Zebulon, North Carolina, Lydia Winston (Harold) of Louisburg, North Carolina, and Stephanie Davis (Jay) of Gardner, Kansas; two brothers, Roland Davin of Bend, Oregon, Albert D’Avanzo (Lil), and sister, Gloria Holomakoff (George) of Norwalk, Connecticut. He will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren, Justin, Maza, Harold, Steven, Gabrielle, Myla, Diamond, Chanel, John, Jazz; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
