LOUISBURG - Doris May Dickerson, 77, died Sunday afternoon, Aug. 6, 2006 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Aug. 9) in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home in Louisburg, with the Rev. Lynwood Boyette officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

Mrs. Dickerson was a daughter of the late Willie Elias and Eleanor Shearin May and a native of Franklin County.

Surviving: her husband, J. Harold Dickerson; son, Earl (Debbie) Dickerson of Louisburg; daughters, Patricia Dickerson of Four Oaks, Faye (Richard) Nelson of Rocky Mount, Wendy (Bob) Watkins of Louisburg; sisters, Lucille Romero and Shirley Southall, both of Louisburg, Alma Dickerson of Raleigh; brothers, Elmo May, Douglas May and James May, all of Louisburg, Vernon May of Wake Forest; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
