BENJAMIN W. WHEELER


LOUISBURG - Benjamin Wilson “Bennie” Wheeler, 91, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 at Britthaven Nursing Center. Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Lancaster Memorial Park.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Annie Wilson Wheeler and Benjamin Wester Wheeler. He was a retired carpenter and farmer and was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving: sons, Timothy Wheeler (Joyce) of Black Mountain, Michael Wheeler (Gwen), Wayne Wheeler (Beverly) and Kenneth Wheeler, all of Louisburg; sister, Mae Paschal Knott of Youngsville; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Idalene Murphy Wheeler; daughter, Barbara Jean Wheeler; sisters, Catherine Lewis and Mary Stephens; brothers, Alvin Wheeler, William Wheeler, Doyt Perry Wheeler and Bruce Wheeler.
