JAMES D. “JIM” CAPRELL


RALEIGH - James Dalphus “Jim” Caprell, 84, died Wednesday Oct. 21, 2009 at his home. His life will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct.  26, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, with Masonic Rites. Entombment will follow in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens with military honors.

He was born in Franklin County to the late Minnie Williams Caprell and James D. Caprell. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during WWII in the 3rd Army in the European Theatre in Germany, France and Belgium under General George C Patton.

Surviving: his wife, Latitia “Tish” Sanders Caprell; daughters, Lisa C. Rogers of Bunn and Lori Lawrence  (James) of Franklinton; son, Bart Dalphus Caprell (Marijake) of Raleigh; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Edna Grissom.
