ZEBULON - Guilford “Buck” Bufkin, 89, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009.

A native of Catchings, Miss., he was a son of the late Ernest and Fannie Bufkin. He was also preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

He worked for Gill Buick for 25 years and for Eddins Oil Co. for the rest of his career. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Surviving: wife, Marie Langley Bufkin of the home; brother, Bill Bufkin (Arla) of Fla; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Pilot Baptist Church Building Fund, 8103 NC 39 Hwy S, Zebulon, N.C. 27587.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Nov. 7) at Pilot Baptist Church with visitation from 12 - 2 p.m. prior to the service. Entombment  will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
