WAKE FOREST - Inez Davis Wheeler, 86, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009. Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 20, at Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was born in Granville County, the daughter of the late Lee and Pearl O’Neal Davis, and was retired from Westinghouse after 33 years of service.

Surviving: children, Lillian W. Parrish of Louisburg, Barbara W. Peace of Franklinton, Sam Wheeler of Timberlake, Milton Wheeler of Wake Forest and Joan W. Watson of Creedmoor; sister, Louise Allgood of Henderson; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Wheeler.
