LOUISBURG - Hoyt Ray Evans Sr., 90, of Louisburg died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006 in Carebridge Assisted Living. Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at the Evans family cemetery.

He retired from the U.S. Marines.

Surviving: son, Johnny Russell Evans of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Verla Mae Roberts of Raleigh; a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home of Christine Evans, 6 Allen Road, Louisburg at all times.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the White Level Fire Department, 2465 White Level Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.
