RALEIGH - John Wesley Williams, 67, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006. A funeral service was conducted Sunday, Aug. 13, at Brooks Avenue Church of Christ in Raleigh, followed by a graveside service at Raleigh Memorial Park.

He was born in Columbus County to the late Mattie Ward and James Wilson Williams. He retired from Square D where he was employed for 25 years, and recently retired from Capital Associates in Cary.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Joni Lyn Williams, and two sisters, Vivian and Pearl.

Surviving: his wife, Jessie Dyer Williams; daughter, Jill McGee (Jody); half brother, Guy Bullock of Franklinton; and two half sisters, Diane and Judy of Erwin. Flowers accepted or contributions may be made in Mr. Williams’ memory to the Brooks Avenue Church of Christ Building Fund, 700 Brooks Ave., Raleigh, NC 27607.
