LOUISBURG - John “Johnny” F. Matthews II, 65, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Frederick Matthews.

Surviving: his mother, Mary G. Matthews of Louisburg; sister, Kelly Matthews of North Garden, Va.; and one niece.
