LOUISBURG – Bobby Lee Gupton, 72, of the Justice Community, died Sunday morning at his home.

Bobby was a son of the late Frank and Magdalene Gupton. He was an Army Veteran and a retired machinist and retired volunteer fireman with the Justice Volunteer Fire Department.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Duke Memorial Baptist Church, with the Rev. Randy Jetton officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Faye Gupton; sons and daughters-in-law, Dexter and Karen Gupton, Tony and Jackie Gupton; grandsons, Cole Gupton and John Gupton, all of Louisburg; sister, Mary Fenner Bass of Burlington; brothers, Charles Gupton of WA and Rodney Gupton of FL.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Duke Memorial Baptist Church, Building Fund, 3976 NC Hwy. 581, Spring Hope, NC 27882.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
