HENDERSON - Funeral services for Dorothy Dunston Burwell Floyd, 83, who died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, will be held today (Saturday, Jan. 9) at Gethsemane Baptist Church, with the Rev. Michael Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Rowland Chapel cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Catherine McKnight of Henderson, Geraldine Champion of Tobyhanna, Pa., and Emma Lassiter of Louisburg; sons, Matthew Burwell of Abbington, Pa., Curtis Burwell of Carlisle, Pa., and Coy Floyd of Henderson; stepsons, Henry Floyd of Dorchester, Mass., Earl Floyd of Summerville, S.C., and James Floyd of Kittrell; sisters, Mamie Johnson of Louisburg, Emily Pearl Toomer and Elizabeth Johnson, both of New York, Irene Scarborough of Raleigh, and Ailean Avery of Garner; brothers, Theodore Dunston of Raleigh and John Dunston Jr. of New York; 26 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
