ZEBULON - James Thaddeus “Thad” Caldwell, 79, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010. Funeral service was Sunday, Jan. 24, in the Strickland Funeral Home chapel, Wendell.

He was the son of the late James Mayford and Pearl Bennett Caldwell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Elizabeth Atkins Caldwell.

Surviving: his son, Richard Caldwell (Susan) of Weddington; daughters, Donna McCollum (Bob) of Raleigh and Pamela Pridgen of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
