VIRGINIA W. CARR
September 27, 1927 – January 29, 2010


LOUISBURG - Virginia Harriett Wells Carr, 82, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 29, 2010.  She was the daughter of the late Leslie J. Wells and the late Dorothy Mae McDougall Wells and was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest George Carr, in 1986 and sister, Lois E. Wells Grinnell, in 1983.  She has lived with her daughter, Linda Muster, and son-in-law, William Muster, of Baileywick Rd., Raleigh N.C., since April 2009 and previously lived in Louisburg, North Carolina and in New York State.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Muster, and husband, William, of Raleigh, NC; son, Tim Shutts, of Cortland, New York; brother, Robert Wells and wife, MaryAnn Wells, Bartow, Florida; sister, Loretta Wells Salazar and husband, Manuel Salazar of Glens Falls, New York.

  She is also survived by granddaughters, Lesa Dickerson and husband, David Dickerson of Zebulon, North Carolina, Christina Alaniz and husband, Rigo Alaniz, of Memphis, Tennessee, Kimberly Harris and husband, Jeff Harris of Louisburg, North Carolina, BillieJo (BJ) Hernandez and husband, Carlos Hernandez of Raleigh, North Carolina; and grandsons, Mark Wayman and wife, Tami Wayman of Layton, Utah, and Adam Muster and wife, Jennifer Muster of Durham, North Carolina;11 great-grandchildren, Heaven, Lee, Sean, Lara, Kimberlynn, David, Dakota, Andrew, Analeise, Alvaro, and Hannah.

Virginia was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 44 years.  She served in many different auxiliaries of the church and enjoyed sharing her testimony of the gospel and helping others.

The viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the funeral service, which will be held at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, North Carolina on Saturday, Feb. 6th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.  The burial will take place following the funeral service at Oakwood Cemetery on N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, North Carolina.
