ZEBULON - Hazel Johnson Parrish, 85, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010. Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 4, at Union Chapel Baptist Church. Entombment followed in the church cemetery.

She was born in Durham to Martha Walker. She worked at Westinghouse 31 years before her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Parrish Jr., and her mother, Martha Walker.

Surviving: daughter, Carol Bullock; son, Jimmy Parrish (Phyllis); sister, Annie Lee Edwards (Sam); 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Chapel Baptist Church Building Fund, 2520 Zebulon Road, Zebulon, NC 27597.
