SPRING HOPE - Syble Renn Woodard, 86, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010. Funeral service was conducted Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville, with the Rev. John Robert Woodard Jr. officiating. Burial followed at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson.

She was born in Vance County, daughter of the late Clarence Oliver and Fannie Powell Renn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Woodard, and a great-granddaughter.

Surviving: son, John Robert Woodard Jr. (Rita) of Graham; daughters, Joan W. Evans (William) of Spring Hope, Kaye W. Beaman (Tony) of Waynesville, Pam Woodard of Knightdale; brother, Lewis Renn (Helen) of Swansboro; sisters, Mary Bailey of Virginia Beach, Va., Peggy Pinnell of Castalia, Jeanette Rowe of White Level, Faye Shearin (Milton) of Louisburg, Jane Pierce (Bill) of Raleigh; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
