JEWEL S. CLARK


LOUISBURG - Jewel Stevens Clark, 68, died at her residence on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest, on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 2 p.m.  The family will receive friends and family 30 minutes prior to the memorial service. A private burial will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Pecks Mill, W. Va.

She was born in Pecks Mill, W. Va., and graduated from Logan High School and Lenoir Community College with an A.A.S. degree.

She was a homemaker until the children were older. She worked at the Employment Security Commission in Raleigh,  Walter Kidde, Inc., and  owned and operated Clark’s Court Reporting.  Upon retirement, she went to work at the Wal-Mart in Wake Forest,
She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Nile Clark; her father, Eddie Lee Stevens, and her mother, Vesta Lee Stevens.

Surviving:  children, Jimmie Wayne Clark (Bonnie) of Wake Forest, Dennis Clyde Barker of Pecks Mill, W. Va., Judy Michelle Will (KJ) of Youngsville, and Betty Leigh Pearce (Scott) of Youngsville; sister Betty Curry (Robert) of Fairborn, Ohio; brothers, Arthur Stevens (Patricia) of Dallas, Ga., Scotty Stevens (Brenda) of St. Albans, W. Va., Sammy Stevens (Barbara) of Charleston, W. Va., Tony Stevens (Valerie) of Albany, Ga.; and seven grandchildren.
