LOUISBURG - Helen Tharrington Clark, 95, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006 at her home. A funeral service to celebrate her life was conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, at Louisburg Baptist Church, with the Rev. Reggie Rushing officiating. Burial followed in the Tharrington family cemetery.

She was a homemaker and worked in retail for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Alma Tharrington; her husband, Isham B. Clark; daughter, Minerva Holt; sisters, Ruth Anderson and Janet West; brothers, George Tharrington and Maynard Tharrington.

Surviving: son, I.B. “Ben” Clark Jr. (Margie) of Rocky Mount; daughter, Phyllis Rigsbee of Louisburg; sister, Lucille Harper of Louisburg; and two grandchildren.
