ZEBULON - Jean Kirby Harrison, 83, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at her home. It was Mrs. Harrison’s request that no services be held.

She was born in Alderson, W. Va., to the late Orvalle Theodore Kirby and Drusilla Smith Kirby.

Surviving: daughter, Edith Harrison of Zebulon; brother, Ted Kirby of Richmond, Va.; one niece and nephew; and one great-niece and great-nephew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Harrison III, and a sister, Joan Kirby Smith.
