APEX - Rosa Lee Cummings, 86, died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Spring Arbor of Raleigh. A memorial service was held Monday, March 20, at Midway Baptist Church, Raleigh, with the Revs. Larry Upchurch and Joe Brothers officiating. A private inurnment will follow at a later date in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina.

A native of Wake County, she was born to the late William Clarence and Maggie Smith Stephens. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hallie Cummings, and a son, Wade Ehringhaus Cummings.

Surviving: daughters, Judy Lee Cummings of East bend and Debra Cummings Mathias (Dennis) of Galena, Ohio; son, Vernon McDonald Cummings (Patsy) of Youngsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 Saint Mary’s Street, 4th Floor, Raleigh, NC 27605.
