ZEBULON – Lettie Whitley Rayburn, 87, died Friday morning at Wellington Nursing Center. Funeral service was held 2 pm Sunday, Aug. 27, at Union Hope Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was born in Nash County, daughter of the late Charlie and Martha Brantley Whitley.
Surviving: her children, Stacey Whitley (Brenda) of Zebulon, Renee Kearney (Donnie) of Bunn; brothers, Clayton Whitley of Zebulon and Bennie Whitley of Raleigh; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by a grandson.
