YOUNGSVILLE - Mary Norma Young Currin died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006 at her home. A graveside service was conducted Friday, Sept. 1, at the Harris Chapel Baptist Church cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Haley officiating.

She was born in Franklin County where she lived her entire life. She was the daughter of the late Augustus Perrin Young and Margarette Clifton Young. Mrs. Currin was the wife of the late Ditus Currin.

Surviving: two sisters, Edna Bailey of Raleigh and Margaret Morris of Louisburg; a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Catherine Carter, Bernice Marsh and Evelyn Hill; two brothers, Brooks Young and E. Edwin (Ditus) Young.
