LOUISBURG – Ronald Gary Strickland, 62, of 463 Flat Rock Church Rd., died Friday morning.

Gary was preceded in death by his first wife, Joy C. Strickland, and his father, H. Candler Strickland.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hill King United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Gary is survived by his wife, Judy Y. Strickland; daughter and son in-law, Lynn S. and Danny Grissom of Louisburg; son and daughter-in-law, Edward G. and JoAnn Strickland; step-sons, Todd Johnson, Brad and Allison Johnson, all of Louisburg; mother, Frances B. Strickland of Louisburg; sister, Sharon Lynn Isley of Charlotte; grandchildren, Matthew Strickland, Damian, Carlie, Haley and Madison Johnson; several nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hill King United Methodist Church, 1897 N.C. 39 Highway S., Louisburg, NC 27549.

The family will receive friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg and other times at the home.
