FRANKLINTON —Vardine Brodie, 67, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today (Saturday, April 3) at First Baptist Church, Louisburg. Burial will follow in the Manasseh Church cemetery, Franklinton.

Surviving: daughters, Jocelyn Johnson of Raleigh; sons, Jermaine Brodie and Jeffrey Brodie, both of Franklinton; sisters, Ester (Pennie) Perry of Youngsville; brothers, Willie Wortham of Washington, D.C., and Tony Harris of Youngsville; and five grandchildren.
