LOUISBURG - Georgie Ray Baker, 68, died Saturday, April 17, 2010. A funeral service was held Tuesday, April 20, at New Hope Worship Center, 7428 Pearces Road, Louisburg, with the Rev. Joe Ferguson officiating. Burial followed at Bethlehem Baptist Church cemetery, Youngsville.

He was born in Franklin County to Rosa Lee Baker and the late Georgie Baker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Moore Baker.

Surviving: daughters, Pam Joyner (Joey) of Castalia and Rhonda Myers of Louisburg; mother, Rosa Lee Baker of Youngsville; sisters, Marguerite Currin of Louisburg and Barbara Richards of Youngsville; brothers, Bobby Baker of Rolesville, Wayne Baker of Louisburg, and James Baker of Youngsville; and four grandsons.
