LOUISBURG - Lizzie Mae Fuller Dorsey, 76, died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Maple Springs Baptist Church, with burial to follow at the Dorsey family cemetery in the White Level community.

She retired from the Portsmouth City Schools and was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church of Louisburg.

Surviving: husband, Sherman B. Dorsey of Louisburg; sons Stuart B. Dorsey of Louisburg, Sterling B. Dorsey (Judith) of Cary; daughter, Amy Darlene Dorsey of Portsmouth, Va.; brother, Cleveland Fuller (Lois) of Wilson; many nieces, nephews and cousins;  and three grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her baby daughter, Jenelle Rose Dorsey; her parents, Rosa and James Fuller; brothers, Jay Fuller, Aucie Fuller and Dave Fuller; sister Ada Belle Winstead.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Maple Springs Baptist Church, 1938 NC 56 East, Louisburg NC 27549.

Arrangements are being handled by Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
