CREEDMOOR —Anthony John “Tony” Godfrey, 52, died Monday, April 26, 2010. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 28) at Fairview Cemetery, with the Rev. Al Thomas and the Rev. Leslie Hartsfield officiating.

He was born in Wake County and was a member of Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church. He was a crew foreman for 20 years with Wake Electric.

Surviving: wife, Cindy Godfrey; children, John Wesley Godfrey of Louisburg, Holly Mulchi of Florence, S.C., and Candace Nicole Godfrey of Creedmoor; mother, Barbara Ross Godfrey of Franklinton; sister, Terrie Godfrey Roberts of Creedmoor;  and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Godfrey, and two grandchildren.
