LOUISBURG — Virginia D. Strickland 81, died Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Louisburg Nursing Center.  Funeral services were held Friday, May 7, at Rock Spring Baptist Church, with the Rev. Melton Tyson officiating.  Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Surviving: sister, Betty S. Perry of Raleigh; and brother, David Strickland of Louisburg.
