WENDELL - Bobby Hurnon Young, 76, died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Duke Health Raleigh. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, with Pastor Earl Roach officiating.

The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the service from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

He was born in Wake County to the late Wesley H. Young and Virginia Clifton Buffaloe. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1960 and drove a truck for Thurston Trucking Company for many years.

Surviving: son, Jerry W. Young (Denise) of Youngsville; daughter, Deborah Y. Floyd (Wayne) of Wendell; sister, Sue Ennis of Raleigh; and three grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Young, and a sister, Virginia “TC” Wall.
