RALEIGH - William B. Nivison, 98, died Monday, May 31, 2010. Funeral service was Thursday, June 3, at White Memorial Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in Raleigh Memorial Park.

He was born in Coldwater, Mich., the firstborn son of the late Martha Hellenburg and Merle E. Nivison. He received a master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He and his wife moved to Raleigh in 1948, where he founded Rural Plumbing and Heating, Inc.

Surviving: son, Arthur E. Nivison (Georgia) of Raleigh; daughter, Ruth M. Babcock of Louisburg; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to White Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1704 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC 27608.
