ROCKY MOUNT - William Bruce Leonard, 84, died Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Nash General Hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 22, at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, with Pastor Tommy Batts officiating.  Burial followed in the King family cemetery in Wood.

Surviving: daughters, Linda Leonard Cruz  (Manuel) of Clayton, Vickie Leonard Wheeler (Stanley) of Nashville, Deborah Leonard Heidelmeier (James) of Rocky Mount; brother, James Leonard (Lillian) of Zebulon; 11 grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.

The flag in front of the funeral home was flown at half-staff in honor of Mr. Leonard’s service to his country where he served and retired from the US Navy.
