WAKE FOREST - Lacy Bell Massey Wall, 97, died Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Hillside Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, June 30) in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Faile officiating. Burial will follow in the Wake Forest Cemetery.

She was born in Wake County, daughter of the late Birta Norwood Massey and Frank Kearney Massey Sr. She was retired from the Royal Cotton Mill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard William Wall; sisters, Lillie Massey, Nellie Marshall, Ethel Hunter, Ruby Hicks and Pearl Horton; brothers, Lonnie Massey, Bruce Massey, Frank Massey Jr. and Robert Massey; half sister, Louise Smith; and half brother, Andrew Massey.

Surviving: daughters, Gladys W. Timberlake of Youngsville, Alice W. Alford (Luther Jr.) of Wake Forest, Jerry W. Bright (Rodney) of Durham and Peggy W. Privette (Curtis) of Youngsville; son, William E. Wall (Alva) of Wake Forest; half brother, Alexander “Dick” Massey of Wake Forest; half sisters, Shirley Nance of Wake Forest, Edith Denson of Charlotte and Rose Bailey of Greensboro; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
