FRANKLINTON- William Stanley “Stan” Goodwin, 49, died Saturday morning, July 10, 2010 at the Hock Family Pavilion (Duke Hospice) in Durham. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, July 13, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Kirk and the Rev. Jimmy Earp officiating.

He was born in Vance County, the son of Frances Wood Goodwin and Eddie Lee Goodwin.

Surviving: son, Kody Goodwin of Franklinton and Kody’s mother, Judith Mauer of Phoenix, Ariz.; parents, Eddie Lee and Frances Goodwin of Franklinton; brothers, Johnnie Goodwin (Shelby) Mike Goodwin (Helen), Eddie Goodwin (Jean), Marty Goodwin, all of Franklinton.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Duke Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Dr., Suite 101, Durham, NC 27704.
