FRANKLINTON —Odell Wilder Perry, 84, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010 at Louisburg Nursing Center. Funeral services were Wednesday, Sept. 1, at First Baptist Church in Franklinton, with the Rev. Jeanette Pender officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County to the late Sherman Wilder and Tempie Perry Wilder. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Franklinton and for many years was a member of the Chancellor Choir.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ike, Sherman and James, and two sisters, Leola Magnum (known as “Sister”) and Vandelia Crudup.

Surviving: sons, Lester Wilder (Joyce) of Franklinton, Donald Wilder of Franklinton, and Barriett Wilder of the home; sisters, Josephine Crudup of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ruth Green of Caldwell, N.J.; one grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
