WOODROW W. TABB


LOUISBURG - Woodrow Wilson Tabb died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006 at The Brian Center of Durham. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today (Saturday, Sept. 23) at Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Louisburg, with the Rev. Sidney Dunston and the Rev. Luther Coppedge officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the services.

He was born in Williamsburg, Va., the son of the late George and Mary Alice Parker Tabb. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in France, Belgium, Germany and England.

Surviving: his wife, Lecelendia Massenburg Tabb; daughters, Mary Latrilla Scott of Sanford, Fla., Blondelle T. Edgerton and Cynthia Tabb, both of Louisburg; sons, Woodrow Wilson Tabb II of Newport News, Va., Wendell Tabb of Durham; sisters, Ruby Tabb and Bernice Dorman of Williamsburg, Va., Mary Alice Tabb of Silver Springs, Md.; brothers, Leroy of Glenside, Pa., Oliver Tabb and Russell of Williamsburg, Va., Langford of Fort Washington, Md., Cardell of Philadelphia, Pa., and Percell of Adelphi, Md.; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
