LOUISBURG – Colleen Louise Young, 76, died Thursday evening, Sept. 21, 2006. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Ransdell Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.

Colleen was a daughter of the late Augustus Louis and Clydia Ella Wheeler Young and was preceded in death by her sisters, Flonnie Y. Eddins and Dorothy Y. Reiter; brothers, Albright Young, Claude Young and Jimmy D. Young. She was retired from the NC Department of Motor Vehicles.

Surviving: her sister Gaynelle Y. Allen (Paul) of Louisburg; brother, Douglas Young of Winston-Salem; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg. And other times at the home of Gaynelle and Paul Allen, 3840 NC 561 Highway, Louisburg.
