ZEBULON - Nelson Gardner Pearce, 83, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 at his home. Funeral service was Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Wakefield Central Baptist Church, Zebulon, with the Rev. Rick Miller officiating. Burial was at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.

He was born in Franklin County to the late Charlie Roy Pearce and Ethel Yeargin Pearce. Nelson honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He worked in sales with Buffaloe Tire for 40 years

Surviving: wife, Ann Honeycutt Pearce; god-child, Robin G. Beals of Wilmington; a host of special nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother; Felix Allen Pearce, and a sister; Joyce P. Edwards.

Flowers are accepted or contributions may be made to Wakefield Central Baptist Church.
