PILOT COMMUNITY - Donney “Donnie” Kurt Baker, 51, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2010. A gathering to commemorate Donnie’s life will be held at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 15) at the home of Susan Brantley, 4885 Brantley Road, Zebulon.

A native of Wake County, he was the son of the late Darnell Thomas and Mildred Robbins Baker. He was a mechanic.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shelia Bagwell.

Surviving: son, Donnie Baker (Mary) of Dunn; sisters, Charlotte Wignall (Bill) of Zebulon and Susan Brantley (Kerry) of Zebulon; brothers, Alvin Baker (Linda) of New Bern and Jerry Baker (Sue) of Zebulon; and two grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Donnie K. Baker Account, c/o State Employees Credit Union.
